Fusing
Fusing is the baking of mosaic elements of colored glass on a transparent base. In this way, the relief and the desired volume of the product are achieved. The base can be either transparent or have a milky color. Stained glass in the fusing technique is appropriate in any style, whether classic or modern, up to the use of decor in modern styles, such as high-tech. The cost of the product depends on the materials, colorfulness and subtlety of the technique of execution.
Three-dimensional volumetricity of the product is achieved by superimposing layers of glass of several colors.
This stained glass is organic in the interior with glass blocks. However, the standard size of fusing glass (max. 1200x750 mm) can be a limitation for the application of this technology. However, fusing decoration applied to solid glass with UV adhesive will be a great solution for the designer. Stained glass in the fusing technique is spectacular and original as a decoration of the windows of a private house or a modern apartment. This method is invented recently, but it is already very popular.
Fusing decors are used to decorate mirrors, ceramic tiles, glass furniture or as separate hanging elements. In particular as a decor of very popular today closets, on the glass (or mirrors) of which the master applied a drawing in combination with decor in the fusing technique.
Souvenirs in the fusing technique are original and very effective, whether it is a clock of various designs, cigar holders, ashtrays, vases.
The combination of glass fragments of different degrees of transparency and shades gives a stunningly beautiful effect. This type of stained glass is the most environmentally friendly.
Fusing products do not require special detergents. Partial reconstruction of the product is impossible due to the peculiarities of the technology.
